Directions for Usage of Apidra Cartridge
APIDRA Cartridge should be taken within 15 minutes before or soon after meals. APIDRA Cartridge can be injected under the skin (subcutaneously) of the abdominal wall, thigh or upper arm or as an intravenous infusion in the abdominal wall by a healthcare professional.
Always examine the vial closely before use for any visible particles in it. Do not mix or shake the vial before use. If insulin glulisine is needed to be mixed with NPH human insulin, draw insulin glulisine first in the syringe and then mix with NPH. It should be administered immediately after mixing. Do not mix insulin glulisine (vial) with any other preparations other than NPH.
Do not overuse any injection site and be sure to use a different injection site each time to avoid application site reactions. Your doctor will decide the correct dose, duration and time for you depending upon your age, weight and body condition.
